An IPTV player for Samsung TVs — no stick required
Samsung sells more smart TVs than anyone, and almost every serious IPTV player skips them — TiviMate included — because a Samsung TV runs Tizen, not Android, and supporting it means building a second app from scratch. We are building that second app.
Honest status, updated as it changes
KimberPlay for Samsung TV exists and runs today: playlist onboarding (M3U and Xtream login), channel groups, favorites, a now/next guide with the same conservative name-matching as the Android app, and remote-first navigation. It is now in hardware testing against Samsung’s native video pipeline before we submit it to the Samsung app store. No release date promises until that testing says so — this page is the opposite of vaporware marketing, on purpose.
What it will mean for your setup
- No more stick behind the TV. The app runs on the TV itself — one remote, one input, nothing dangling from an HDMI port.
- One license, every screen. A KimberPlay Plus key covers five devices across platforms: the Samsung TV in the living room and the Fire TV in the bedroom count as two of your five, one purchase.
- The same rules. Player software only — you bring your own playlist; adult provider categories stay out of family views; your credentials never leave the device.
What you can do today
