Changelog
Every release, in plain language. KimberPlay updates itself — when a version ships, the app offers it on launch, and your library, favorites, and history always carry forward.
1.5.2 · August 30, 2026
- In-app updates now install reliably on every supported Android version, including the oldest Fire TV Sticks, with clear guidance when Android needs your permission first.
- Update downloads are verified and reused — a permission round-trip never downloads twice.
- A calmer, more premium default look: the interface goes quiet so your content stands out, and the vivid highlight appears only where your remote is focused.
- Honest error messages throughout the updater — nothing says 'check your connection' unless the network actually failed.
1.5.1 · August 28, 2026
- Long-press menus no longer pick the first item by themselves — hold OK as long as you like.
- After Dark cleanup: only real adult categories land there, classic movies stay in the main library, and a long press can move any title in or out yourself.
- Watch history in After Dark can now be deleted with a long press.
- Sharper sports channel matching and guide name matching.
1.5.0 · August 27, 2026
- Guide overhaul: denser cable-box rows, freshness indicator, and automatic guide matching for channels with missing or wrong tvg-ids.
- Assign any guide to any channel by hand in two clicks.
- Sports Hub precision: pressing Watch on a game now ranks your channels by how certainly they carry that exact broadcast.
- Guide auto-refresh on a schedule, plus a launch top-up when data runs low.
